Jot ā

Yāall know how much I love supercharged Wandering Bear ice coffee, so when I discovered Jot I couldnāt help but order some. Jot is āUltra Coffeeā aka concentrated coffee extract that apparently has 20X the potency of normal coffee. One tablespoon = 150mg of caffeine š¤Æ.
Jot was founded by beverage industry experts Andrew Gordon and Palo Hawken. When interviewed on why they created the coffee super juice Gordon said āWe created Ultra Coffee to offer an exceptional coffee experience anywhere, at any time and added instantly to any routine. This is the future of coffee."
Iām not so sure about that, but I also canāt wait to try it out. A little bird told me itās insanely good on vanilla ice creamā¦
Senreve š

Senreve has been on my radar for a while - I honestly thought I had featured them already. But alas, I had not!
Senreve was founded by Coral Chung and Wendy Wen (classmates at Stanfordās GSB) when they saw a gap in the womenās purse market. There werenāt any purses that looked fashionable but also doubled as a laptop bag. So they set about making one with Senreve as the end result. Thereās even a GSB case study on it!
Their flagship Maestra bag starts at $895.
ISM š

Doubling down on the office bag reviews, ISM is a great option if youāre looking for a more traditional - yet still stylish professional bag.
ISM was founded by Justin Kwong in 2017 as a backpack that he could have with him at all times. He wanted something that looked at home in a professional meeting, yet had all the functionality of a normal backpack.
The result is two different versions (small and large) that both cost $210. You can add gold trim at no extra cost if youāre feeling fancy.
News Iām FollowingĀ š
šāāļøĀ Virtual influencers will soon be everywhere. Whatās a virtual influencer? Glad you asked: meet Miquela. In 2018, Time named her one of the internetās most important āpeopleā. With over 2.2 million Instagram followers and 550,000 TikTok followers, sheās already earmarked big partnerships with Samsung, Prada, and Calvin Klein.
Miquela was made by Brud, a startup in LA thatās a ātransmedia studio that creates digital character-driven story worldsā. Their home page is also a Google Doc. Chic.
But whatās their differentiating factor? Whatās stopping other companies from making their own digital influencers you ask? Not much. Which is why I think theyāll soon be everywhere.
š„Ā Neiman Marcus goes belly up. The high-end retailer announced this week that theyāre filing for bankruptcy protection. The shelter in place order has been especially rough on the luxury department store, whoās e-commerce has not been able to keep them afloat.
Their CEO wrote a letter to customers stating that the business was not liquidating any merchandise and that it planned to reopen stores once it was safe to do so.
āThis is simply a process that allows our company to alleviate debt, access additional capital to run the business during these challenging times, and emerge a stronger company with the ability to better serve you and continue our transformation over the long term.ā
